What Is Lending Payments Infrastructure?
Lending payments infrastructure moves money at every step of a loan: disbursing funds to the borrower, collecting repayments, and returning principal and interest to whoever supplied the capital. Lenders and lending platforms use it so disbursements can be instant, repayments reconcile to the right loan without manual matching, and investor funds stay in segregated accounts. Modern Treasury does this as your payment service provider (PSP), through one API over ACH, RTP, FedNow, wire, push-to-card, checks, and stablecoins.

FAQs
A loan disbursement is the payment that sends approved loan funds to the borrower, or to a third party such as a dealer, school, or contractor on the borrower's behalf. With Modern Treasury a disbursement is a payment order: pick the rail, RTP, FedNow, or push-to-card for seconds, same-day ACH or wire for the same business day, and the transaction carries your loan ID so it reconciles on its own.
Create an expected payment for each scheduled repayment with the amount, date, and loan ID. When the incoming wire or ACH payment settles, Modern Treasury matches it to the expected payment automatically when it meets your reconciliation rule. You get an overdue webhook if a payment doesn't arrive by the end of its date range, and anything that doesn't match stays unreconciled for manual review. ACH debits you originate through Modern Treasury reconcile automatically, without an expected payment.
Yes. Open a sub-account per capital partner, credit facility, or SPV, each with its own account number. Collections flow to the right account by design, and you can report each partner's balance from real-time account data instead of a monthly spreadsheet.
RTP and FedNow settle in seconds, 24/7, to banks on those networks. Push-to-card lands on the borrower’s debit card in minutes. Same-day ACH and wire settle the same business day inside their windows. For closings that need funds confirmed before recording, that means disbursing at signing instead of the next morning.
Term loans, lines of credit with multiple draws, installment and BNPL plans, premium finance, and merchant cash advance all run on the same primitives: a disbursement out, scheduled repayments in, and a record of who is owed what.
No. Use Our Bank Partners and launch in days, not months, with no bank onboarding required. Lenders that must keep balances at a lending bank under a covenant use Bring Your Own Bank on the same API.
